Sri Vijay Prakash is a distinguished #Indianplaybacksinger , acclaimed for his work in devotional, classical, film, & pop music genres. He has sung 10,000+ songs in several Indian languages, & contributed to the Academy & Grammy Award-winning song 'Jai Ho' from Slumdog Millionaire.

He has won Filmfare, Mirchi Music, IIFA ; Radio Mirchi, SIIMA, S P Balasubrahmanyam award & Aditya Vikram Birla Puraskar etc. He has judged shows like #ZeeSaReGaMaPa in Tamil, Kannada & Telugu, ETV Padutha Theeyaga & Vijay TV's Super Singer.

He has collaborated with top composers & performed at international events like Woodstock & WOMAD; and the UN General Assembly with A.R. Rahman.

His 2019 concert in Charlotte led to the proclamation of "#Vijayprakash Day" in Concord, US. On April 20, 2024, he received a doctorate from Richmond University in Toronto for his contributions.
